Justin Bieber invited fans to call him

Justin Bieber is facing legal action after a Twitter prank went terribly wrong earlier this month. A Texan couple are suing the pint-sized pop star after receiving hundreds of calls from fans trying to reach the Biebster himself.

The singer appeared to be in a playful mood when he posted a tweet with his alleged phone number minus just one digit and a mischievous invitation to call him. It didn’t take long for fans to get right to it and to work out that the “real” number could only be one of 10 options. The frantic dialling began…

Two Texas residents known only as Kent and Dilice are now planning to sue Bieber for causing them to have to respond to and deter over 1000 calls from keen fans. The pair’s lawyer is said to have described the singer’s actions as “reckless” and will be seeking compensation, as well as an endorsement towards Kent’s latest online project.

The tweet in question was removed from Twitter amidst the havoc caused.
