BT braced for strike action
Fri 04 Jun, 2010 // Firstnumber TeamThousands of homes across the UK could be without broadband and a landline as BT engineers consider the first national strike in 23 years.
Strike action could see BT workers forego repairs on the national grid and home faults which occur everyday across the country.
Currently the Communication and Workers Union has said BT must improve its offer of a two per cent pay rise to employees or face industrial action.
BT staff are thought to be angry at the two per cent rise following chief executive Ian Livingston's pay rise which amounted to a staggering £1.2million.
BT is hoping to resolve tension amongst its employees before any strike action goes ahead.
