Now you can buy First Number credit to use on your mobile

We've got a great new way for you to get cheap calls on your mobile, it's hassle free, you can do it from anywhere at any time, you don't need to find a shop to get credit and the per minute rates are exactly the same as you'll find here on the website.

All you have to do is text FIRST to one of our shortcodes from your mobile.

Text FIRST to 66667 for £5 Text FIRST to 84459 for £3

Calls are subject to a 5p connection charge. Texts from 66667 cost £5 and you will receive £5 of calling credit. Texts to 84459 cost £3 and you will receive £3 of calling credit.

How It Works

Using your mobile phone, text FIRST to one of our shortcodes depending on how much credit you want. The text will cost you £3 or £5 depending on which shortcode you text and we'll credit your mobile with that amount of First Number calling credit.

To make a call

Call our access number (020 7112 7298) from the same mobile you used to send the text message (020 calls are charged at your mobile provider's standard rate).

At the voice prompt enter 00, the country code and the international number you want to dial followed by the # key (do no press the send key again or your mobile service provider will charge you for the international call).

Example: 020 7112 7298 00 93 123456 #

Frequently asked questions

How do I top up?
Just text FIRST to 66667 for a £5 top-up, or FIRST to 84459 if you want a £3 top-up.

The return message will charge either £5 or £3 and will give you that amount of International calling credit. Your access numbers will be included in this text.

How do I use the service?
Dial the access number included in your welcome text message. You will then be prompted to dial the International number you want to call. Make sure that you dial 00, plus the country code before your number.

Our 020 access number is a local London number, and is charged at your operator’s standard rate. If you have bundled minutes to UK landlines, this call will come out of your allowance. The 0800 access number is free from a BT landline, but you will be charged at the operator’s standard rate from a mobile.

If you call using the 0800 freephone number, you will be surcharged 1p per minute on top of the rate to that country. If you dial the 0800 number from a payphone, you will be surcharged 12p per minute per minute extra.

Can I use my credit from a landline or a different mobile phone?
Yes. To use your credit on a different phone, simply dial either the 020 or the 0800 access number from the phone that you wish to use. You will hear a message saying that you have no credit. You simply need to enter the full number of the mobile phone that you used to buy the credit, and you can then access your account.

Is there a maximum amount of top ups I can do in one day?
Yes, you can top up a maximum of 6 times in each 24 hour period.

Are there any fees for the service?
There are no fees or subscriptions for the service. However, there is a 5p connection charge levied for each call made.

I have sent a request for a topup, but I have not received a message back?
The messages are generally sent back straight away. Very occasionally they may be delayed by congestion on the network. In this case, do not send another message as you will be charged twice. If you have not received the message within a few hours, please contact us on the number below.
